Brett C. Morrison So where did this young man come from? Let’s go back to the 80’s. 1980 to be exact. Living on the Southside of Chicago, growing up in one of the hottest neighborhoods of djs, he came from a family where music was in him. His father being a dj himself and his uncle being a drummer for a hot 70s group, opportunity was at hand. His brother being a “Deep House Head” used to party at the original WAREHOUSE and THE POWERPLANT, used to bring home cassette tapes and let him listen to them. One day he got up the nerve to travel down the street and ask a well known DJ by the name of Steve Hurley can he teach him? Being the person that he is, Steve said yes. Knowing his situation, Brett eventually knew Steve couldn’t give him the attention he wanted to get “ON” so he linked up with another Chicago giant, Eric E.T. Taylor, who took him under his wing and taught him everything he knows about the trade. He eventually got bookings at Sauer’s, Hero's, La Mirage, just to name a few. After a long thought out decision, Brett decided to leave the craft and start a family with his wife and now business partner, Mrs. Nichole P. Myers-Morrison. From this union, they conjured up 3 beautiful life forms. Missing the “LIFE”, Brett decided to come out of “RETIREMENT” and start back but by this time, turntables were almost obsolete. With some help from true friends, he got his chance to get back on the grind and has been back DOING WHAT HE DOES! From various internet shows such as CYBERJAMZ , Chicago House Radio, PUSHFM, and now has his own internet show on http://www.ustream.tv/channel/the-d-vine-1-radio-show and www.stickam.com/djbrett called “The D’vine 1 Radio Show” heard on Sundays from 12-5pm cst. and also Thursdays from 7-9pm cst., he has been heard by the masses. He now holds residency for the past 4 years @ The New Leo’s Den in Chicago on Fridays “The Shop”. He has been at various venues such as Sub-T, Betty’s Blue Star, The Family Den, Reynolds, Club MIX, Visions, The Dating Game, The Smart Bar, Room 43, and “The Shop”. DJ DClown is a Chicago dj who plays a soulful, going to church type of groove. His roots in House Music date back to the mid...late 80's. Both as a party-goer, and worker. Getting his start with DJ Kwik, and Mr. Gene Hunt. As a Dj he plays tunes from all aspects of House....ranging from disco...to techno. As a Producer his rythms and beats are filled by African, latin, and jazz sounds....with the hard-hitting Chicago, moving bass-drum, like the hit song "Bright and Bubbly". As an Engineer, he has worked with many Chicago area musicians.
